How amazing it is to see an idea grow into a tangible reality. It all started six months ago when we gave ourselves a book from one of our favorite Chefs, Francis Mallmann. The poetry of his books, our love of outdoors, good food, healthy environments, community gatherings, music, friends and arts, are some of the ingredients we wanted to combine for our next adventure.
There is nothing more fun and interesting than a new adventure. Specially one that the main purpose is to make other people’s life better. For those reasons you can always count with Us. This adventure started with a call from Jennifer Lauren from The Family Center/La Familia, which is an organization that is dedicated to help parents who are in need of a daycare and can’t figure in their financial plans a place. We had no idea what where where getting ourself into, but as much as we are not about competing, the other part that we are really interested… helping. So we where sign up for the Chef Challenge for Children.
This adventure has been a rather interesting one… it all started with a full goat from Homestead Ranch, to butcher at home. This was definitely something new for us. Juli has not done this kind of butchering since Culinary School, and me, I had never even thought on having to do it, unless it was for survival. But you know life presents with this interesting surprises. Full on board with a small Youtube investigation on when and how to start, the adventure had already begun… it took us about 3 to 4 hours to do the work, but we where ready. I have to say that it was not easy for me to do this, and I do not know if this is something I would like to get myself into again. But never the less an experience for sure.

One Night Effort for a Thousand Smiles!
….“Going once, going twice…. SOLD for $5000 dollars!!” said Reggie Rivers as Juli & I were in total awe about what just had happen. I could not think on anything else to do than to Kiss Juli, get up of my chair around the table and hug some of the most amazing supporters life has put in our path; Alan & Kim Strope from Savant Homes.
Nothing like waking up at 4:30 am, kicking the rooster up of bed and saying hello to Mr. Sunshine 2 hours after… once we have breakfast in the table. In this incredible morning we catered early risers amongst the world of building and everything that goes around it. We where amongst the best of the region.
